Looks good, although cutting the center strip the exact needed width was tedious, with a lot of trials and light cuts. Still I hope this way the joint is stronger than before when I was inserting the strip full depth between the sides. The pleated chips are the result of a 60 degrees plane cut which gives the least tearout.
